Need advice for 97 HX

Hello, new to site!
I have a 97 HX with barely under 200k on it. Couple weeks ago I took out my engine and had to send the tranny to shop for bad input shift bearing. Unfortunately it's going to take a couple more weeks before repaired and so I was wondering what I should do in the meantime. The car is old and has plenty of miles but engine runs great and doesn't leak oil. New radiator, new alternator and a couple odds and ends.. I was hoping for some advice on what I could be checking while I have the engine out. I'm not big enough with cars to know what I should also work on but I can if I know what to look for. I was thinking timing belt, water pump, maybe starter? I already have an axle boot and a motor mount to replace. I have had very random off and on misfires every 2 months or so for past 2 years but so minor I never cared. Any advice on what I should take apart and clean/change out? Thanks, I'll include a couple pix for the hell of it

Re: Need advice for 97 HX

Timing belt is supposed to be changed every 7 years or 100 000 miles. Now would be a good time if the engines out. I believe water pump is recommended at 200k miles as well. Check the condition of your motor mounts. Clutch? If it were me I would paint it just for giggles and clean/wax the engine bay while it was out too. I'd paint it something like lime green and tell everybody it was supercharged or something.

What paint do you use for that? It would have to be heat resistant. Wax the engine bay? I didn't know That was a thing ha! What about crank?
