Rep Power: 0 2000 Honda Civic LX Gauge cluster lights.
Hi everybody. I have a 2000 Civic LX , my gauge cluster lights are starting to go (age I guess) . I already ordered lights and took the gauge cluster out, but I was told that they were 4-#74 bulbs and 1-#194. The #194 was right, but the #74's are wrong, The black plugs on the back of the gauge cluster are #74's but the brown plugs have bigger bulbs than the #74 but smaller than the #194. My question is, what size bulbs are these? Any info would be great.

A few of mine have gone out too, no lights out by the odometer but just the recirculation button light and a heat/ventilation dial light or two. Eventually when something critical goes out I'll be looking to do a full LED replacement so I won't ever have to replace a bulb in there again.
One way to have the stock bulbs last longer is to turn down the brightness dial a bit.
Sorry I can't help with the bulb types but the info is probably in the factory service manual (6th gen Civic Bible);;

Feel free to let us know how it looks when you replace them (if they are too bright) and what brand.
The 7th gen board has the "LED Thread!" thread that might be useful.
