I have a 99 CX 3DR hb with an A/T. It's my daily driver and well I want to spice it up some. When I first got it, it was a pos, I never expected to do anything with it just run it to the ground but it didn't last long before the honda fever kicked in.
I want to do something different, everyone says its pointless to do anything to an auto but I don't care. I'm gonna go with it and do as much as I can. If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do to it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Here is what I've done and what I plan on doing:
Future:
The color scheme I'm going for is black/white/red. Any suggestions?
I'll add pictures when I fix this mildew issue and finally install my carpet.

- Paint job (Pearl White)
- Replaced worn garnish and seals
- Installed black OEM headlights
- Custom grille
- Black Velocity rims (it was cheap don't rag)
- Dropped it with Skunk2 coilovers
- Window tints
Future:
- Wrap panels and dash with black vinyl
- Replace door panel cloth with red suede
- Install Type R carpet
- Install recaro or Si seats
- Install power windows
- Paint calipers red
- Paint wiper arms

First off welcome to the site, and wanting to be different is part of making your car your own, on the bright side there is a ton of aftermarket support for the civics, Look for any peformance mods you can get to the civic (I am not sure what support there is for this but any automatic trans can be built up and then tune the shift points via a standalone computer). Short of that let us know what engine you have and we can go from there. It is stamped in the block right where the engine meets the trans.

Well what I have in right now is the stock D16Y7. My friend said I can swap engines from his 99 accord EX with mine if it's compatible. I've been trying to google it but I haven't found an answer yet.
What type of engine is inside a 99 Accord EX 4DR? I know it's a V-Tec but can I drop it in my hatch?

hasport has most kits to put nearly any honda engine into your car, but do your homework first as an engine swap will mean changing wiring, transmission and computer or going to a standalone computer that controls the engine. There are lots of options for a d series to build it up as its a little on the weak side for stock internals but with some buildup and cams/turbo it can make big power. On the bright side building up a d series can be cheap if you do the work yourself.
