Angry Oil Leak @ Oil pressure block

98 civic ex 4 dr d16y8

ok, you folks have heard this before but i'm bringing it up again..trick or treat!

i have an oil leak between the head and the block (that holds the vtech solenoid and oil pressure switch). I know their are other post covering this but I have replaced the gasket and it still leaks. today, i didn't want to but, I put a little gasket sealer on the bottom bolt where the leak is accuring and it still leaks. Can someone enlighten me why this is still leaking? Is it possible it's warp? How does the vtec solenod and oil pressure switch work together? I ordered another oil pressure switch for the hell of it. also, their is no engine light on...

Re: Oil Leak @ Oil pressure block

i had the same problem with my d16y8. it was leaking pretty bad and i changed the sealant around the head. Now it only leaks when i hit v-tec but its not as bad as before so imma have to change the v-tec sealant thing (forgot what's it callled).
if i where u i would clean the engine, drive it around n see where the oil is coming from. first drive around with out hitting v-tec for awhile.....

Re: Oil Leak @ Oil pressure block

thanks biged for the reply.

the leak is definitely coming from the lower bolt of the "block" that attaches to the head. yes, it doesn't leak as much as it did but it is a bit of concern.
