Transmission won't engage....

Here's the problem: Car starts fine, Clutch pedal feels and seem to be fine, transmission shifts to all gears with the clutch depressed as well as without the clutch but it will not engage, perpetual neutral? There are no noises, there have been no noises and seems to me that if the clutch disk was worn out the trans would not shift through all the gears?

This is a 5 speed manual, not an auto. Anyone has the solution?

Can you change gears with the clutch released and engine running? Any history of problems or noises prior to now?

Sounds like a broken clutch cable/ link. If you have an hydraulic clutch check for leaks at the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Start at the slave cylinder, that's usually the first to break.

The slave cylinder has a metal line going to it and is on the clutch casing. I have a 7th gen but, yours should look similar:
