manual transmission question

i took my car to a mechanic to have it checked out and he said my lower bearing is worn in my transmission, can i replace it myself or do i need to have it done professionally or would it be cheaper just to get a new tranny

Re: manual transmission question

If you do not know what you are doing when it comes to tranaxles than do not attempt to replace the bearing....have it done professionally will only cost around 800 depending on where you live
