Re: 18x8 rubbing issues on 99 civic ex

maybe if you lift the car 6 inches... why would you wanna put wheels that big on a civic anyway. ok but to answer your question. if your car is not lowered at all the 18 inch wheels should fit but the fact that they are 8 inches wide is where i see a problem, i do not know for sure but i would think that its safe to say that yes they will rub.. good luck

lol im sorry when i saw the title to the thread i like laughed kinda hard... sry.. but yeah i have some 205/50/16's and if i have more than one person in the car i scrape a bunch and if i have just myself in the car i still cant go over stuff to hard or else ill get some rub and stuff.... i cant imagine what a 18"x8 will do! mines like 7 1/4 or something and its to wide and sticks out... same body style but mines a 96.. you could get them and roll your fenders maybe?

I'd like to see a Civic with 18x8's! I mean it COULD happen actually... you'd just have to have one hell of a crazy offset to keep them from rubbing the unibody. Lol....

My car had gross 18's when i bought it, and the rubbed bad, they took out the inner fenders so it would fit... long story short, go with 17 at most
