Rainguard installation Problem?

Hello, i purchased a pair of rainguards on ebay for my 2000 ex coupe.

I am having an issue installing them. They just came with tape and there is a stopper thing at the top of each window/door that is preventing me to install them.

any help is greatly appreciated.....
