gurggle noise when i shift into first
gurggle noise when i shift into first
I have a 200o honda civic LX... manual transmission
When I shift into first, there's a watery gurggle sound... almost like an aquarium bubbling sound. It's short and doesn't continue until I move into first again.
Any ideas?

Re: gurggle noise when i shift into first
if its coming from the passenger side dash area inside the car, its most likely air bubbles in the coolant flowing thru the heater core. either caused if you had a recent coolant flush or if you have exhaust gases in the coolant, from blown headgasket. or a leak in the cooling system can sometimes cause air to build up too.

If you want to purge the cooling system of air there is a procedure to do it.
Basically, with a cool car (do not remove the cap when the car is hot) take off the radiator cap and let run for a bit and see if you notice any bubbling.
