Rep Power: 0 Is my Engine ****ed? If so, likely reason?
Scenario:
2005 Honda Civic LX 1.7L ( i think)
Punched the gas on the highway
Hit 6,000 RPM with pedal floored. (after realizing it was not auto shifting, i let off the pedal after 5 seconds
Trans downshifts
Cloud of white smoke from under the car
engine starts rumbling. Car loses power.
Manual steer to side of highway.
Car will not start.
No fluids leaking under the car. No flat tires.
Replaced in December of 2017 at dealership:
Headgasket kit and all the OEM rap that goes along with it.
Timing belt, tb tensioner, water pump, oil change, air filters.
Theories?

the first thing i would check would be the timing belt.....you could have toasted it with that high rpm....or it could have jumped a few teeth

Sounds like you threw a rod.. plume of white smoke was likely oil that exited a freshly made hole in the block.
Hole would be high enough that oil won’t leak out when not running.
