If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT 2004 Honda’s civic LX

P0741 Problem in lock up control system

The PCM detected slippage of the torque converter clutch and set the code.
Why? IDK, lots of possible reasons.

TCC solenoid not connected correctly?
TCC solenoid broken?
TCC solenoid bad?
(these can happen during engine or trans work)

CPC solenoid valve A/B fault?

Incorrect fluid used?
Low fluid level? High fluid level?

You replaced the transmission?......did you also replace the torque converter, or did you reuse the old one?

Did you thoroughly flush the ATF cooler before installing the trans?
Used trans, how do you know it wasn't already having problems before you got it?

Got your airbag recalls done yet?

Re: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT 2004 Honda’s civic LX

When you replaced the trans, did you install a JDM unit? Did you replace the trans with one of the same code as the old one?
