noise from ROTARY AIR CONTROL

My 2003 civic ex has started making a clicking noise that is coming from the ROTARY AIR CONTROL. It does not do it when first started but as the eng nears normal operating temp the ROTARY AIR CONTROL starts a fast clicking noise. The car runs and idles fine it just has this consent clicking. it does not seem to change with engine speed or anything I also have a p1457 code and a p1249 code. any body got any ideas?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

You probably hear the purge solenoid, not the IAC valve. That's normal, some can be obnoxious while sitting in a drive thru line.

P1457 is an EVAP code, leakage in the canister portion of the system.

P1249 does not exist. P1259 is a VTEC problem.....first see if the engine is about 3 quarts low of oil.

Enter the codes into the search bar above, for some reading material.
