Re: 2005 front end swap

Yes i believe it will if you replace all the components that you mentioned (not the door) plus the headlights. 01-02 are the same and 03-05 are the same.

Search 7th gen civic front end conversion, there is a thread around here someone that has the info.

Re: 2005 front end swap

I believe the doors are the same so that shouldn't matter.

If you can find an 03-05 that would be best.

04-05, not 03-05. There were only minor changes between 02 and 03 (factory rims vs steelies, gauge cluster, crash bolt size). The facelift occured between 03 and 04.

Back to OP, if i remember correctly, upper radiator support needs to be swapped or modified.

Also, as far as the headlight goes, you can make a conversion harness yourself, if you're electrically savvy. Grab a pair 9005 and 9006 female harnesses (I think they sell them at autozone) and a pair of H4 male harnesses (likely have to source online). On the 01-03 civics, the H4 bulb is ground switching (i.e. switches the ground wire source when flashing your high beam). The pic I just made below is as if you were looking at the pin side of the H4 male harness

If you wanted to convert it yourself, it's just a matter of soldering the right wires on the pigtails. If you buy pigtails, they should have enough of a wire lead that you don't need to add extra wire. Heat shrink the solder joints, wire loom for aesthetics, and dielectric grease to stave off corrosion on the (h4) pins, and you should be good. I drew up a quick and dirty (9005/9006 to H4 diagram).

One set of these and two sets of these should be all you need

Re: 2005 front end swap

You're correct. I drew the pins on the wrong side. you need a female H4 pigtail. The wiring still works out the same on my crude little quick and dirty diagram.

Re: 2005 front end swap

I have swapped the front end of my 2003 Honda Civic EX sedan with a 1.7 D17A2 5 speed with a 2004 model of the same color and model. I had to change the core support also since the car was involved in a collision. I couldn't find a 2003 model of the same color and wanted to avoid painting. So now I find that the connectors to the wiring harness are different. I got the turn signals wired up by splicing the 2004 connectors on. But the main headlight connector is a three pin and the 2004 headlight only has a two wire connector. So how do I splice the three wires to the two wire connector? Also for the parking light which has two wires does it matter which wire I connect from the 2003 harness to the 2004 connectors. I had to take some connectors off a 2004 Civic since the opening in the new lights are different diameters with different locking features where they plug into the headlight assembly. Thanks for any help that you can provide.
