Smile Suspension Installation question.

So i bought this suspension set.

I bought this front strut mount plus a reusable rubber piece seating mount.

I also bought this rear strut mount

So I was able to replace the suspension set, however, the back struts popped out meaning, they weren't installed properly. So based on the rear mount I bought what pieces extra do I need from this diagram to buy in order to secure the rear struts.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :-)

Also I'm selling the previous set if anyone is interested.

Re: Suspension Installation question.

That's no good!!

I don't think you need any additional parts, just need to buy better quality rear strut mounts. I look slike your bushing tore out.

Okay, which rear shock/strut mount would you recommend for that stagg rear suspension previously described?

Re: Suspension Installation question.

Either OEM or KYB.

I think with OEM you have to order part #8 also but I am not sure. I can't remember if the mount is removable or pressed in.

Re: Suspension Installation question.

Actually maybe you were missing the bottom part of the rubber bushing? That part #8 with the new ones you got.

I think I was missing 16,15,14,11. Because it popped out first day they got installed. So definitely a series of washers were missing.

Re: Suspension Installation question.

14 and 16 are just bump stops and wont affect that. From your picture I can not tell exactly what was missing/included. Yes 11 looks like it may be important in holding in the bushing (of an OEM mount).

If I remember correctly my new OEM rear strut mounts did not come with the bushing and it is a 2 piece bushing that is sandwiched together. I am not sure how aftermarket ones are and they may assume that you have all the OEM pieces (or they use a different design all together).

No, KYB is better.

Okay thank you very much for the insight. Tomorrow I will remove the rear suspension from the car and take apart the spring and the strut and take pictures so it would be clear what I have and I don't.

Re: Suspension Installation question.

So i just finished taking the rear suspension off the car. It turns out from what you can see in the picture that I'm missing quite the parts. It looks like I'm missing 1, 11,14,15,16, 13,12. So I guess I'm gonna go ahead and order those. Thanks for all your help and one last question, why on the majestic honda parts website, there are two parts with the same number but different price? is it quality related? just curious.
