Rep Power: 0 Timing belt on 04 Civic
I have just purchased a 04 Civic VP from a dealership and I am not sure if the timing has been replaced. The car did not come with a manual, but according to a PDF from Honda website it provides no information about the maintenance on timing belt.
It currently has 145000miles on it.
I have also grabbed CARFAX and AUTOCHECK reports but all it shows is oil change/renew/inspection and nothing about detailed maintenance.
Can someone advice me if the timing belt needs to be changed? Does it seems like it has already been replaced?
Thank you in adnvace!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Are you a gambler? Win every time?
A losing gamble on this one could cost you a bunch of valves --or an engine.
If there is any question about its history, the timing belt should be replaced....along with the tensioner---NO AFTERMARKET on that part. Factory only on the tensioner and spring set.

What should be replaced? Timing belt + water pump + tensioner?

At 150k I'd suggest all those plus the pair of accessory belts. If there is any evidence of oil leakage I'd put in cam and front crank seals too. And valve cover gasket set.
