I have a Canadian 2003 Civic DX sedan and I'm looking at getting another civic. I am looking at the Sedans in the 7th and 8th/9th generation. Here I am mainly asking about the 7th generation. I ask about the 8th/9th gen in the other forum.

How do the 2001-2006 Civic Sedans compare for power, fuel economy, reliability and weight? Is there a sweet spot year and model that has decent power, is quicker than other years and isn't too heavy and gets good fuel economy? Is there an Si sedan in this generation in Canada?

Thanks. I will read your thread. I only hope it makes sense in terms of Canadian models. I find some of the wikipedia stuff is informative but sometimes confusing. Which engine had which tech and which HP rating and what model for what country. LX EX and DX are different in Canada and USA. I'll keep researching I guess.

I see Civic Si Sedans in Canada in 2007 have the DOHC VTECi or iVTEC on the side. I'll research those.

Si have the D-series (Economy V-tec), SiR have the K-series (true V-tec), Others are non-V-tec

theres also the canadian acura EL wich is basically the us civic which mite have more power but im not exactly sure you should look into it.
