Car was involved in a front end collision where both airbags deployed on Thursday night. Damage has not been completely assessed by either the body shop or the field claims adjuster. Insurance may total the car based upon airbag deployment. I just had some pretty extensive engine work (head gasket replacement due to a misfire code on #4), the tranny has been rebuilt recently due to the common known bearing issues.
What I need to know from the forum is: any interest in purchasing the vehicle, either in whole, or in part (engine/transmission etc).
I am the second owner. First owner was a meticulous record keeper so I have most receipts from him, plus all of my receipts for work performed.
Questions?

Re: 2005 EX Possible total loss
hard to tell from the pics,
it really depends on if there is damage to the frame and suspension, such as lower control arms, struts etc, if they are damaged its a write off,
i dont think anybody would give you more then what a scrap yard would, and that would be about $250-$500 if your lucky,
good luck

they will most likely total the car if the bags deployed just count your lucky stars the takata airbags didn't put a hole in your head. if the frame is still good you can purchase it back from the insurance company and rebuild it yourself but you won't get jack if you resell it.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
