2002 Civic EX Vtec - manufacturer-recommended plugs?

We just got this car and I was wondering what the manufacturer actually recommends for plugs for this engine?

From what I've read before, on some other models, if the manufacturer recommended copper and someone uses iridium, it can actually degrade performance.

What about this engine?

My first spark plug change was to iridiums when I decided to turbo my car. The turbo's long since been uninstalled, but I've been running nothing but [Denso or NGK brand] iridiums since. I've noticed no degradation of performance.

They will be NGK or Denso......and using anything else but exact replacement is not a good idea. 100k miles life.

get the Denso long life iridium there expensive up front but there good for 100,000 miles so you'll save money in the long run.

Not talking about the brand. I knew NGK was the big one. I meant the difference between copper, platinum and iridium. What does the manufacturer recommend?

Re: 2002 Civic EX Vtec - manufacturer-recommended plugs?

I just found a pdf of the owners manual and it says NGK PZFR6F-11. That appears to be a laser platinum?

This is what I was talking about. Some people use iridiums, or copper, which it's my understanding have different conductivity and temperatures?

In fact, I checked the plugs today and the car has ZFR6FIX-11 iridiums.

So I may need to get the manufacturer-recommended ones, for it to run best?
