Rep Power: 0 need help with o2 sensors
i have a 2002 honda civic si
and i got the following codes from auto zone:
P1166
P1167
these are for the o2 sensor. does this mean i have to replace downstream and upstream?
I already have new upstreams and downstream sensors. i just have to install them

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: need help with o2 sensors
Both codes are for the upstream AF sensor heater.
It is not a plain O2 sensor, it is an AF sensor.
Use the correct identical brand sensor the car was built with. It's either NTK or DENSO.
No Bosch. No Delco. No BWD. No 'O.E.M. brand' made in China crap.

Re: need help with o2 sensors
You trying to figure out which sensor is primary and which is secondary?
Think about, look, study.... how exhaust has to flow out of the engine through the exhaust manifold, cat, pipes, etc..
Which O2 sensor will the exhaust pass first?
Which O2 sensor will the exhaust pass second?

job is already done . i need to post some pictures of it soon . i ended up lifting my car and looking at the cat converter and saw 2 plugs next to it that were identical to the o2 sensors that i bought. unscrewed it, matched cord lengths (with old vs new ones) and plugged it back in.
but now i need help getting to my knock sensor in a 2002 honda civic si .
i have no idea where it is
