Rep Power: 0 2002 civic ex alternator fuse blown
Driving under normal conditions, received battery warning light and noticed speedometer was at 0. All other instruments working normally, no unusual engine noises. Was only a few miles from home and was able to get there. Shut engine down after checking battery voltage, was 10.4 volts with engine running. Took battery to auto parts store, checked battery capacity (195 CCA on a 425 CCA battery). Replaced battery. Started engine and still had the battery warning light. Shut off engine and started poking around. Found the 10 amp alternator fuse in the under dash fuse box was blown. Replaced fuse, but it blew again when the key was taken from "Acc" to "On" - did not go to start.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Some of the items that share the same fuse:
both O2 sensors
Alternator
cruise control main switch and actuator
ELD
EVAP CVS valve, purge valve, and bypass valves
VSS
Good luck!
