Car is over heating and breaks are burning

Hey guys I just installed a K&N typhoon short ram intake and now my car is over heating???? And Im not sure if it's connected or not but my breaks started going to get hotter than hell. I'm not sure if it's the intake or something else but I could really use some help

It shouldn't be the intake, and the brakes would indeed be a separate issue. Did your car get a ? How is the coolant reservoir looking? How long did you drive it like that?

As for the brakes, how could you tell they were hotter than normal? My rotors get too hot to touch after a drive.
