Daughter is looking at buying a 2004 civic has 106,000 one family owned since new has had these things done. Timing belt, water pump, valve cover and oil pan gaskets, oil pump seal, new battery and tires. Says it has the normal clear coat oxidation so common on civics asking $4400 OBO.
Is this a good price and is there anything else I should look at.
Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2004 civic
What's KBB say the value might be? Edmunds?
I'm not really a wheeler-dealer and I don't place the same values on cars that others do...... so...
I'd probably start trying for half that price, in ca$h. (That's probably more than they would get as a trade in at most car lots, no matter what they see on paper.)
Or $2500, whatever. You can always go up if they say no.
A fistfull of bills waved under a nose sometimes gets instant results....and a tall stack of $20s LOOKS like a lot more than it is. LOL
