Hey everyone!
So I'm really lost and need some help.
About a month ago my car wouldn't start. I got it jumped and took it to get a new battery at les schwab. The tech there told me after putting the new battery in that it was only getting 10 volts from the alternator so that needed to be replaced. I went to oriellys and bought a refurbished alt and installed it. Battery still not getting enough volts. Took it to firestone. They tell me alt is bad. Oriellys gives me another refurbished to try and they bench test it first and it tests good. Put it in my car and still my battery is only getting like 12 volts. I drive like this for a couple week until the battery finally dies. Had the battery fully charged up again and took it to a highly rated shop near me to have it looked at. They test the whole charging system and tell me my alternator is bad. I don't understand why I keep putting in good alternators that end up crapping out. Are they crap to start with because they are from oriellys or is something else going on? Please help before I decide to just push my car off a cliff!!!
