Rep Power: 0 D17A2 With rod knock, worth anything?
It's been a while since I've been on a Honda forum, but it was recently brought to my attention that we still have, sitting in the back yard, the engine (long block) from my old civic that has since been sold. It's the D17A2, with a spun rod bearing on one of the cylinders. The engine still ran before we swapped it, it wasn't driven after the rod started knocking. I was wondering if it's worth anything in it's current condition, if so, where could I sell it to get the most money, and if not, should I just recycle it? I know these engines are pretty cheap and not that desirable, but we'd like to get rid of it.

The head might be worth something, as will the intake. Is a manual trans still attached to it?
