Wheel stud/cross thread lugs a common problem?

2001 Civic, this is the third time I've had to get someone to replace a wheel stud. Second and third time the lugs were cross threaded on the stud (thank you Honda dealer for doing that). Is this a common problem with 7th gen civics?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Not if one knows what they are doing, and does it properly.

Someone probably used the air gun to put it on without first putting it on by hand for a few turns.

It would be difficult to hand cross thread a lug, IMO.

not exactly a honda issue, more like shop guy training issue.
had mine cross threaded once, was not at honda.
