With proper maintenance, a Honda could probably last for double that.
$4200 is a bit on the high end with that many miles to it.
I would try to see if the owner has a maintenance log for it to see how well it's been taken care of first and see if the proper scheduled maintenance is up to date.

I'm looking at a 2000 Civic for a 16 Year Old Young Lady - has 261,000 on it. Was owned by a local mechanic for his wife. Seems quite nice for the $2K asking. What does anyone think about the mileage? The only thing that is hard to think about.
