What's this sensor please?

Doing my timing belt today. Was actually hoping it had slipped a tooth. I was perfect. Still, needed to get it replaced on my 01' Civic DX with 184,000 on it!
Yes, I it's the first timing belt replacement!

Anyway, I see there's a sensor next to the lower pulley.

What's this one?

184k... another one with a good longevity... dare i ask if the head gasket and also if it's an auto trans, have it ever been serviced? if true, you have one of the lucky cars...
