Help 01 Cpe LX Problem

Hey,

So my 2001 Civic LX coupe started having a semi rough rumble when starting as of yesterday and today the check engine light came on.

There's no problem driving. No rough idle, nada. Just a rumble when starting and the check engine light.

Other "known" issues
Current issues:
1. Leak in washer fluid res.
2. Line is cut for washer fluid
----fixing these tomorrow on the weekend
3. rear breaks are at about 35%

Would any of this cause the check engine light? It was -26 degree's were I live today so that could be why it started so rough. I didnt notice anything while driving and I park underground in a heated garage :s

Thoughts?

Re: Help 01 Cpe LX Problem

Note: Tomorrow I'm checking all the fluid levels etc and I'm going to reset the memory by unplugging the battery and see what happens. Bad idea? Could just need trans fluid no?

My mechanic isn't available this weekend and I need it for a "full G" road test on Monday. I.E have to turn off the light on a budget. Ive let my past two G2s expire....

I'm an idiot.. I fixed the washer reservoir and the washer line and the light went off.

But I don't get it.. why the hell did the rumbling going away too? I don't get it. It drove forever with the washer fudged. meh

Sorry, I didn't factor in wind chill, we've had an arctic breeze thus it's been in the -37 to -45 Celsius range. I'm sure that's why the rumble... frozen fluids/problems turning over etc.

If the light comes back on sure. But seems to have been related to when I cut my line closing my hood.
