2) A B-series is a huge pain in the *** to swap and I've only seen it done once.
3) SEARCH into doing a K series swap. But you will looking to spend at least $4k to do the swap.
Your best bet is to swap in a d17a2

possible? yes. You'd need a lot of fabrication to mount it though
legal? no. The engine going in needs to be the same age or newer than the chassis it's going in to
k-swap is the swap of choice for the EM2/ES1 chassis

Thank this is helping.. But I'm tight on cash so k series is sorta out of the question.. Although I would love to do a k20 but how hard is a d17a2 swap? And will it work with the tranny I got? Or do I have to to get one of those too?

Re: civic engine swap
The transmission you have will work fine. The difference is that you have an a1 head, where the a2, has vtec. I'm not sure what all the swap entails, but I'm sure if you look around you'll find what you need.
