my rear drivers side door (4 door) lock will not work (electronically) but will work manually....i took the door apart and replaced the electronic locking mechanism/motor.....but it still wont work, 3 other locks work fine....where to look now?

Test all the wires running from the switch to the lock actuator. One is probably broken somewhere.

I'll bet that it's your actuator.

When my driver's side actuator was bad, the door would want to lock but couldn't. Replacing the actuator fixed the problem.

what do you mean actuator?

i have replaced the electronic thinggy that the wires connect to, it still does not work, even when only connected to the wires and not the door itself, so i know that is the problem, its not getting power but i dont know why

yup thats what it was, actually two wires were broken inside the rubber boot that connects the door to the frame, this part pivots everytime you open the door, so i guess thats why
