Re: OEM Thermostat Temp ?

you just buy an oem honda thermostat. not sure why this is even a question. unless you want junk and a hot running engine, then you buy a stant.

i dont think its fair to say all aftermarket thermostats are "junk" and will cause overheating....honda dont even make their own thermostats, so in a way they are aftermarket also....the only difference is your paying more for it at the dealership....

Re: OEM Thermostat Temp ?

please buy an oem honda and ANY aftermarket thermo and then post pics of the two together. it will look like they dont even belong on the same car. one will look like a toy, the other will look like what it should be and actually open consistantly at the proper engine temp. for such a cheap part, its not worth all the wear and tear you will put on the car, the worse gas mileage you will get, and higher chance for overheating because the aftermarket barely opens 1/2 as much as oem. yeah honda does not make their own parts, but the parts they source are VASTLY SUPERIOR to what they have at the store.
