Aluminum bushings needed on Revo SS V2???

About to buy Revo Short Shifter V2 off of Robears site, but since they already come with bushings preinstalled is there any need for aluminum ones or are the ones it comes with fine?

http://www.robearracing.com/pd-revo-...crsx-01-05.cfm
- Built-in Base Bushings. No need for aluminum bushings.

Lol, wow, robear's site is still around?

Anyways, back on topic.. You don't necessarily need aluminum shifter bushings.

You can use the ones that come with the revo, reuse your OEM rubber ones (assuming the revo's are removable), or if you really want aluminum bushings, here you go for $23

Then again, I don't know what kind of bushings come with the revo v2 short shifter.. I'm still rocking the v1. I'd say just order the revo v2, and if you feel the need to have metal shifter bushings, and the revo v2's come out (which, I don't see why they wouldn't make them removable), buy the set from strut king.

edit: I don't see anything on revo's website about bushings with regards to their short shifters.. If the one you order doesn't come with bushings installed, you can always reuse the OEM rubber ones.

Thanks for the info, I asked them what the bushings were and if they are replacable and this was the response.

"If you look closely in the picture, they are built-in Plastic"

So i guess they are hard plastic and not replacable, still worth it you think or should i get V1?

Re: Aluminum bushings needed on Revo SS V2???

I just put in the revo v2 short shifter in my car last week. I also picked up the aluminum bushings only to find out while installing I didn't need them because of the built in plastic. The revo v2 works great and from what I've read on previous posts unlike the revo v1 I don't feel any extra free play in the shifter that other members were complaining about. So all in all I recommend the v2 works great for me set at 40% reduction.

Drock I just got my Revo SS v2 in the mail and the directions are really faded, I can make out some words that say "make sure to lubricate the circled areas well", however the picture is impossible to see, could you guide me in what exactly needs to be greased up? Also how do you like the full 40%?
