I use the oem vtec fluid. It's pretty cheap at my local honda stealership since I have a friend that works there.
It's still expensive as hell. That's why I don't go over 4k rpms.

You have a point. They should actually be changed at the same time, as on most models with VTEC, the muffler bearings are lubricated with the same fluid, and therefore increase the frequency at which you should replace the vtec filter.

The only pulley that normally needs replacing on an engine is the harmonic balancer. The harmonic balancer usually has a rubber component to isolate vibrations and this can break down over time. I would think this would be examined when the timing belt is done and replaced if necessary. Since the one for the Civic is in $40 range I could see where some may do it with the timing belt just to be safe.

Actually, it's not terrible if you upgraded from vtec to vtech though, but I'd still stick to full synthetic

Dude... Search next time.. T66 doesn't play well with the D17.. Install a Gallo 24 and all your worries will go away. It's the same price and works SOOOO much better under the hood..

Re: What pulleys does 7th gens have?
There is nothing in the A/C, alternator or camshaft pulley to wear so no need to replace.

The only w16 that will fit in the civics engine bay without cutting into the firewall is the 8.0l from the veyron. You just need a stage 2 clutch. Otherwise its a direct swap
