Rep Power: 0 Question on purchase of 2004 LX
Hey guys,
I have a quick question regarding a civic I'm looking to purchase..
It appears as though it has had rear passenger quarter panel damage: missing vin sticker is the only real hint. The passenger door has an "R-Honda-DOT" sticker on it which I believe shows it's an OEM part.
The vehicle is at a reasonable price (not really cheap, but reasonable) and is in excellent mechanical condition. Drives like new (I'm replacing an 04 VP so I have something to compare to) and it was even a "Honda Certified Used Car" a few years back according to Carfax. The Carfax and Autocheck are both showing up clean, and the passenger door even has signs of normal wear and tear which, I believe, shows that it's a repair that was done a while ago and has not been problematic.
My question is this: Given that the vehicle passes a pre-purchase inspection and there is no frame damage/stuff... would you guys hesitate to buy? I'm seriously considering the purchase, but thought I'd run it by some folk with more experience.
Please and thank you.

Re: Question on purchase of 2004 LX
Personally I wouldn't do an LX. But that's just me. I like the little bit more sporty EX. But if everything checks out and was the car I'm wanting, I would pull the trigger.

Yeah, I would prefer an EX as well (mainly for sunroof), but the price is right and it has the EX rims on it already, which are the wheels I want. Guess I'll deal with 12 less HP :P
But thanks for the reply, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger, just want to get a couple opinions based on my observations. That replaced door has me a bit skeptic :/
