Advice Needed! Hail Damage

Recently my 2005 Honda Civic LX Sedan got hit by a shower of baseball-sized hail, and now I am left with some dents peppered on my hood, roof, trunk, and some on the side of my Civic. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on the best approach to fix this? I live in the midwest (just moved here 2 yrs ago, never experienced anything like this before, so I don't have comprehensive insurance ) Also, the driver-side tail light cover got broken/chipped (some pieces fell off), so if anyone could give me some advice that would be great. Like past experience similar to my situation, estimation of cost (out of your own pocket), DYI suggestions, etc. Thanks.

Re: Advice Needed! Hail Damage

unless you do body work your going to need a body shop to fix the roof and sides. the hood, trunk and tail light can be bought separately.

Re: Advice Needed! Hail Damage

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to call around local body shops to get a reasonable quote. By the way, do you or anyone know a reasonable amount to fix hail dents? I told myself if the cost is greater than 2k, then i'll just live with the dents. Also, I just got my windshield and tail light fixed (have to replace the whole thing...they don't sell covers seperately), as well as this miscellaneous plastic trim part where the windshield whippers are...cost me around $500... Thanks in advance.

Re: Advice Needed! Hail Damage

You might check one of the paintless dent repair places such as Dent Wizard. Depending on how many dents you have it may be less expensive.

Re: Advice Needed! Hail Damage

Paintless dent repair and go to a salvage yard for whatever parts you need.
