What's defined as normal condition vs. severe condition when it comes to maintenance for Civic?

Can you just explain it in few sentences? Do normal combination of city and highway driving in say moderate temperature (say North Carolina) count as severe or normal condition?

thats normal. severe would probably be extremely cold or hot temperatures for months at a time, and really fast driving
