Rep Power: 0 Single click noise in first/second gear is causing worry. Manual Trans.
Wondering if anyone has any idea of what this can be? My transmission doesn't make any grind noises and the clutch engages fine (although a little high it seems) with no slippage. Whenever I accelerate from a stop from first to second gear I get one single click while the gear engages. The sound seems to disappear from third gear and higher. This sound is not related to turning such as certain posts I found during a search; this happens on straights and just in general. Any ideas guys?

Well, I wouldn't say my second gear is bad. Shifts and engages fine. This click comes in both first and second gear only when engaging.

Have you changed your MTF fluid with OEM Honda MTF lately? Changing the fluid is definitely a start. These cars have a second gear synchro that seems to be becoming a more common issue as they get higher miles. I have over 300k on mine and it hasn't made this noise. I change my MTF frequently (every other oil change.....so every 20,000 miles).
