New clutch,tranny rebuilt, engine...

I recently put my project back together and ive put about 400 miles on it. I have a used d17a2 with 75k on it, replaced timing belt, waterpump, and borrowed the rocker assy/crower stg1 cam from my spare motor. I had my trans rebuilt and put in exedy oem clutch with exedy lightweight flywheel.

The two things concerning me are the valves seem noisy after 4 readjustments. And after a 400 miles of break in the clutch doesnt seem to grab very well.

Im going to readjust the valves(again) but idk how to tell if the clutch is breaking in properly....any advise at least on the clutch situation? Do I jus need to baby it n break it in more?
P.s. I got a lil ballsy last night n after a few hard pulls in 3rd and 4th I came to a stop n all of a sudden it grabbed 10x harder in 1st gear
