Howzit, I just installed a JL 12w7 sub to replace the w3. The difference in sound is huge. The w3's sounded good, but you could tell where the low notes were coming from. With the w7's the sound is much tighter much deeper and the low notes are aligned with the soundstage. Can't tell where the bass is coming from. I'm sure there are different opinions about different sub manufactures and people have their favorites, but this sub performs excellent. Overall the sound is more balanced. At first I wanted a 13w7, but its a good thing I got the 12w7 because the box barely fit .

Def very jelly

I want a W7, but I cant afford it.
I think I might sell my W3 to afford a W6, since everyone's tossing em away for like $200 now.

Real low frequencies are felt, not heard :P

I've heard the w6's and they also sound great. not far off the w7's. $200 is a good price I think to get the sound close to the w7 from the w3.
