the first thing i got for the car was a yakima roof rack that i picked up used for an amazing deal. That way in the winter when i go snowboarding i dont have to get the inside of my car dirty and wet from my snowboard.

I never liked the look of the chrome moulding on the hood of the car so i decided to paint it to match the rest of the car and i think that it totally changed the look of the front of the car along with the lip for the better.

Sedans weren't meant to be sporty, thats why they were chromed out to look more "luxurious." The coupes were their sporty versions, and thats why they got the colour matched moulding. At least thats what I believe.

yea i agree, i hated that chrome. I was thinking of just getting some oh the color matched hood and trunk mouldings off of a coupe to put on my car that way it looks more "oem"

trunk moulding isnt the same size from coupe to sedan if I recall correctly. Front ends are the same. Painting was probably your best bet.

i ended up getting the coupe painted front trim and the 04-05 sedan painted rear trim to replace the chrome ones. looks way better than tacky chrome lol

a little update, my civc was victum to the common automatic transmission failure at about 137,000 kms. about two weeks ago the transmission was slipping a bit, then it just stopped doing its job. i was able to pull over into a tim hortons parking lot and had to have someone push me into the parking spot. i pretty much knew that it was the transmission because of how much i read about it happening to us 7th gen owners on here. i then got it towed to the local transmisson shop which did a tranny in a subaru my brother had a little more than a year ago. they put it up on the lift and drained the fluid to see if that would tell them anything (possibly water in there because we had the worst rain i had ever seen here ever the night before, and i was out driving in it) the fluid wasnt diluted so no water got in the tranny. Then he told me that it was probably the torque converter which i kind of suspected.
so they took the transmisson out the next day and took it apart and it needed a new torque converter, so they replaced that along with all the seals, gaskets, im pretty sure they replaced the shafts and a some bearings (all new parts). they put a coat of blue paint on the transmission housing because that is how they signify a transmission they fixed for the warrenty program that they have, i have a 1year/ 20,000 km warrenty.
I was able to to get it back on a friday afternoon after on droping it off on that wednesday so i was happy with how soon i got it back. As much as it bothers me to have had to of had this fixed, at least now i am now i know that my transmission has fresh parts in it.
