Re: Install side skirt
I will try and get you some pictures of how I installed mine tomorrow afternoon.
the fisrt picture you have. the 2 holes go to the front of the car where your mud flap is. they should line right up and screw in.
the second picture. the hole does not line up with anything. you will have to make your own hole and selftap a screw in.
the third picture I will have to take a few pictures for you and show you how I did it.
those clips in the last picture you have I dont know what they are. I never seen them before.

That's an awesome deal. Is this from the person who's selling them on the redliners forum? I was planning on buying the mugen lip from him but the Tunetics shop in Ottawa is selling them brand new for $55.

Funny, the same guy was also selling a front mugen lip. When i picked up the lip and skirts today he said that he wanted $70 for the mugne lip (unpainted) and that he'd give it to me for $60 since i bought the skirt and rear lip.
I have to go visit this tunestics shop now lol
Ps lemme know how long it took you to install, the guy gave me a small baggie with some screws / bracket things but i dunno how many. He gave me some double sided tape and told me to put that on too.

Re: Install side skirt
Well I just finished installing the sides and front lip about 30 mins ago (started at about 10pm). Had to work outside with a light which sucked lol
The first side took a little bit longer but I got the second side installed pretty fast. I suggest you have another person to help you. The front lip was probably the easiest, it literally took like 15 mins lol
Don't have any pictures right now since it's dark outside. Will upload some tomorrow.

I just realized that the u and the op are two different people lol.
I got type-a sides, not oem (or reverb whichever you want to say) skirts for $80. I just wanted some sort of lip on my car until i saved up for the reverb ones. How much did you pay? they look great btw.

Re: Install side skirt
Are the type-a and oem (non-aero) side skirts compatible in looks? I know the oem ones start to twist just behind the door... It's tough to see in most pics I have found sure to glare or zoom on the pic.

Re: Install side skirt
If you look at what billkisme posted farther up in the thread, it gives you a really good idea of how to install them. Start by bolting up the front to the mudflap holes in the wheel well, then line the skirt up level and put a screw through the other end of the skirt into the lip in the rear fender well. after that's done, it's just a matter of figuring out how the middle brackets line up best - this is where you might have to jerry-rig something up, but it won't be seen, so it's not really a big deal
