sure give it shot it can't cost more then 25 bucks but i wouldn't use that giant bolt for the top i would use stainless steel zip ties for both the bottom and the top.also i personally would paint it black.

yeah, i was thinkin the same thing. i dunno what is with those huge bolts.. doesnt look good at all. I might give it a go, but only for the bottom part for the time being.. still dunno what to do about the top part.
Oh speaking of all this, that guy on ebay wrote me back and of course.. he doesnt make em for my model, only the ones you found on there.. kinda bummed about that :/ o well.. i might give this a try though..

i like that a lot, the white emblem on the white car looks really good. I dunno what I am gonna do for the top part of it. Mine is navy with that chrome trim piece on the hood.. ill put up a pic of what i'd WANT it to look like, but the guy who makes em doesnt make em for my model..
thanks for the pics.. was this hard to change out?

u think so? what would be the best way to go about doing that? just order the sheet of the metal and cut it myself? what's the best way to do this without making the edges so rough that they scratch the paint? i dunno if i want edging around the entire thing, but i also dont wanna scratch the paint.. hmm.. what do u think?

yeah just order extra mesh because you probably wont get it rite the first time then just sand the edges smooth after you cut it then get thet trim you were thinking of using and put it on then zip tie it down snugly then remove the trim. but i think if your just careful you won't scratch the paint. just use cardboard to make a template then use the template to cut the mesh.

whats the best kinda sand paper to sand down the edges? I got a sand block thing, but I'm sure it'd cut it to pieces.. and yeah, i think this is gonna be the best option.. I like how on that blue car ^ how the honda H is cut out of it too.. i think it makes it look a lot sharper and cleaner..
with the zip tie's.. where can u get silver ones? if u know..
thanks for helpin me out btw.. i hope to get this done soon

i like how it looks on that car pic, but i dont know if i'd be able to do the same.. which worries me.. i might be able to do the bottom pretty good, but i dunno about cuttin around where the H is.. ugh, i wish they just made it for my model. it'd make my life a whole lot easier lol
