Rep Power: 166 Changing Dome Lights
Please dont get mad at me for posting a new thread in here. i went to lighting and it says that "i may not post a new thread" there.. so i figured i'd ask here.. i have a 2001 ex sedan.. and i want to change the lights in my 2 dome lights.. I want to order and put blue l.e.d. lights as the main lights, and for the front, put 2 l.e.d. cool white lights in for the "map lights".. i looked in my manual, and it does not say what to use here. so i took some pics and thought i'd ask, if you can tell, what kind i should get. i believe the front dome lights are all the same size.. they look it anyways. and the back is a longer tube like light. Please check out the pics and let me know if you know anything.. i'd appreciate any help
front dome lights, with 2 map lights, off
and on..
here is a pic of the back dome light..
and the actual light that was in it..
thanks

ill probably be getting my l.e.d. lights from superbrightleds.com.. so if you have used them before, let me know how they are. thanks

the front three bulbs are the same. it uses the 194/168/w5w wedge bulb. The rear is a 31mm long festoon bulb. DE3175 i think.

the front ones pull out. and you have the right bulbs for those. the rear is wrong, it has to be around 30mm long and 10mm wide.

i was thinkin about doing the dome lights (for when the doors are opened) blue, and doing the 2 other "map" lights like the icey cool blue. i dont think that would look too bad.. what do you think? that way if you actually need a light in the car, you can have something other than blue. lol
anyways, gonna get searchin..

will both of these types work for the front dome light? i'd be getting 1 of the blue bottom ones, and 2 of the cool white top ones..? no clue if they are both ok to use though :-/

i only recommend the luxer1 bulbs which are made in japan and use nichia leds. they are expensive at $28 a pair, but worth it to me for bulbs i will never have to replace again. they make both the front and rear in cool white 6000k and they all match perfectly. my thinking is replace it once right the first time and be done.

Re: Changing Dome Lights
Im on JDMstore and superbright LEDs and having trouble finding the exact fit for map and dome lights on our cars.
They have so many and theyre all diff sizes! Can someone post a link of which would work? I dont need anything fancy, just a nice blue LED for map and dome lights and also lic. plate light. The last thing i need is to be spending $30 on LEDs, get them and they dont fit.
thx
