so the emissions guy forgets to latch my hood right.
it flies into my windshield as I am driving.
I am lucky I had a carbon fiber hood because a normal one probably would have broken my face or kill me.
I need someone to tell me if a 05 em2 hood will fit on a 01. mine is the 01. thanks

well, the reason it happened was prolly due to being carbon fiber. the oem hood and latch will not allow the hood to lift up if it doesnt close down all the way. and even if it somehow did, you would have to be doing 100mph+ for there to be enough lift to move the oem hood. ive driven like that many times when aiming headlights so i wouldnt have to pop it each time. oh and im pretty sure 01-03 and 04-05 hoods are different parts.

An 2005 hood will not work; front end body panels are interchangeable between 01-03s and 04-05s only.
I hope emissions is paying for the replacement!
