New here, need a little help

I bought a '01 Civic couple months ago since my old car got totaled. Its an alright car, but the first owner put in some PNP HID's. I rarely drive at night, but when I do I get high beamed by everyone. The ballast are double sided taped to the fenders and I can take those out, but is it just like removing a normal halogen bulb? I am installing these bulbs: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-9003-X...ar=1&carId=007 Also where can I buy a replacement Injen SRI filter? The one on there is pretty dirty and has a hole. Edit: Not sure why it won't let me space out the writing...

They should just unscrew like standard bulbs. And the ballasts should just unplug. It depends where you live for the filter. By me, PepBoys sells them but the closest is in Yonkers. If you have a local tuner shop, they might have.

Before you take them out make sure they are positioned properly. I put HID's in my 04 Civic about 6 weeks ago and got high beams flashed at me until I adjusted them properly.

I think HIDs make it so much easier to see... I wont go back to conventional lights...

Re: New here, need a little help

unless they did a really shoddy install, the old ones should be removable and hopefully the h4 connector is still there to plug to the halogen bulb. the philips xp are really nice.
