Thinking about buying a cheap $50 ebay one and putting a k&n air filter cone on it hp gain is very small and I don't see the point in buying a $250 cai? I have a drop in K&n air filter now and I took off the baffle box should i just leave it that way?

Not sure if you have an automatic or manual but here:
Intake for A/T:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Honda-01-05-Civic...item35b16286c1
Intake for M/T:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/01-05-HONDA-CIVIC...item27ba22d921
AEM dryflow filter:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/AEM-DryFlow-Air-F...item483ab577bd
Just make sure everything is the same diameter and such, I didn't check when I posted links I just wanted to give you an idea of what your looking at.

Short ram intake is a much safer option especially if you plan on driving the car through puddles or even in the rain. The problem with cold air is that it dips down low in the engine bay to suck up colder air and gets explosed to moisture. The performance gain from cold air is nonexistant because these cars just don't respond well to bolt ons. I suggest you get yourself a short ram If you decide to get a cold air you can always just use half of it and it automatically becomes a short ram, so you have the option but its more money for a piece you really shouldnt be using.

this is honestly starting to annoy me...
Less asking more reading.
Here, i did the searching for you, since you seem too opposed to even try yourself.

PVC pipes - The question is: are they reliable? don't know.
Do they give more power than the normal brand ones? Well... the brand ones does not actually give much more than 4-5 ponies anyway, so what's the difference anyways?
Unless you really want to do a high level tune, does not matter in the end. But the fun of doing it and learning how to do in the process is what made the honda tunig what it is now. pionners that did the first engine swaps, the first disk brake swaps, etc, etc. I do respect a lot their will to have it done, having the information or not. they just went and did it
Anyway, just decide, man up and get to it already
And yes, this is a transcription of my reply in one of the other threads.
And i believe with the list given above I earned the right to say: go search by yourself! :P
