I have an 02 civic lx sedan and theres one thing that bothers me. When you hit the gas while already driving it has almost zero throttle response. Is there any tip or tricks to get really good throttle response out of these cars?
thanks

I would suggest you do an EX head swap, it's relatively inexpensive and it gives quite a large performance upgrade for the engine.
Otherwise, turn off your air conditioning and keep your gas tank full and you'll usually get a better throttle response.

it makes no sense that a full tank should matter, but myself and other 7th geners have noticed better throttle response with a full tank. It's counter intuitive since the added weight should actually slow the car down, but I find a noticeable difference.

Lol, the reason is...you own a 7th gen...
I have an EX, and it already has barely any throttle response smashing the gas while driving, let alone a LX
-shrug-
It's not a fast car
The other day, I tried to overtake a uhaul truck on an offramp, smashed the gas, and my car started yelling at me like OMFGIMNEVERGOINGTOMAKEITSTOPTRYING, and went nowhere, ended up following the uhaul anyways =/
But anyways, a good tip would be cleaning the throttle body
