Yeah avoid the shops at all costs. They wanted around 4 grand for my damage, and it ended up costing me just under 1k. Don't be too afraid to mess around with it either! Just be careful when you do lol

Okay so this is the first day in like a week where it hasn't rained ... so i went out and tried the canister trick and it didn't work ... NOTHING.
So i'm getting upset because i know my car has an imperfection and my self-proclaimed OCD is starting to act up and my car isn't perfect :P
Anything else i can do?

It actually works fairly well. My dad bought his Toyota Tundra with dents in it as well (must run in the family). He let me pop some out with the "Ding King", Billy Mays famous. Managed to get most of the little ones out.

Same thing basically happened to me last year. I left my car for half an hour and I came back with passenger door driver side booted in, literally.
Too bad I couldn't do some csi type of ish with the footprint to find out who did it . I wish I researched more on how to fix these kinds of dents, but I was too impatient. Looking at my door sticking out in my side mirror was too much for me, lol. I ended up taking it to a shop =(

Well, i tried the air canister thing and nothing, i never ended up buying a ding king or other kit. And my CPU just had to be replaced so until i pay that and my clutch off (which has to be replaced) i'll try the other stuff. My dad wants me to just take it to my uncles garage and have him hammer the dents out. He'd probably charge me very little but i dunno how good it would look after? I've just been focused on the mechanics of my car recently lol

Re: Hit and run? Dent on door. **ADDED PICS**
Hey guys, I am new to this forum. I was planning on buying a used civic. The car has a dent on its door which is why its cheaper than usual. Can you guys tell me if there is anything I can do to make this dent pop out and be better than how it is now. I want to try doing this myself so I am ok with removing the inside door panel to hammer it. But if anyone can suggest the procedure for fixing this (again I am not looking for extreme perfection, just better is fine). Thanks in advance.
