hi i have a 2004 civic si (Canadian) which is equivalent to the American EX.

i am just wondering if my revs are in normal parameters.

Going 60 km(about 37 MPH) in fourth gear and my car is revving about 2400 RPM.

also when im going 100kmh(60mph) in fifth its about 3000RPM.

i am just wondering is im in the ball park or something is wrong..

thanks!

First off, do you have an AT or MT. I have a 2003 EX AT.
At about 35mph I am at about 1600rpm, 60 mph around 2500rpm.

K20Z3 is on a distinguished road
Re: revs

Thats the good thing about automatics (or a 6th gear) is that its easier on the engine for highway cruising. In every other aspect its not so good...

Re: revs

Lol. Yeah. That's about it. I'd love to have one more gear for the highway. Damn near 4k in 5th at 70mph.

Damn... I thought that ≈3500rpm at 80 was bad.
