Re: side moldings

What do you mean by the side moldings? Do you mean the accent pieces that run along the middle of the panels?

Re: side moldings

they are clipped on and stuck on with double sided tape. i really do not recommend pulling them from the front because you can bend the sheet metal door. its much safer to take the door panel off and release the clips from inside using pliars. be prepared to scrape the tape off the car too before installing a new piece.

Re: side moldings

oops shouldve been more specific. the sedan side moldings which come on all usdm sedans are tape and clip on. the optional coupe side moldings which are an accessory only use tape because there are no holes punched from the factory.

Re: side moldings

i replaced mine when i bought a new door. they were just clipped on, but don't u dare pull on them like gearbox said. i removed them by pinching on the clip from inside. it was easy as i was replacing door...

Re: side moldings

almost no coupe comes with the moldings on them, unless you buy them yourself or the dealer installs for some reason. 98% of coupes out there do not have them.

Weird, just cuz my neighbors coupe does have moldings ... but they look weird because they're WAY to high .. so he must have put them on himself.
